A guide to Punta Cana, checked and kept up to date
Punta Cana is a 50 km stretch of resort beaches on the Dominican Republic's eastern tip. I write this so you can pick which stretch to stay on without guessing.
A lot of Punta Cana pages online are either a weekend blog that went stale, or a booking site that wants the sale and skips the context. I would rather tell you the airport ride, the beach and the catch.
Lia is 28, half Colombian and half German, and she edits Pointer Guides. She loves travel, fitness and festivals. German practicality, Colombian warmth. Every guide is researched from current sources (official sites, recent traveller reviews, booking listings and local news), then refreshed when those sources change. The guides cover choices such as Bávaro versus Cap Cana, the airport taxi, the E-Ticket and Saona Island trips, and they say plainly when a fact could not be verified. There is a longer note on Lia.
How we research
Checked sources
How I research: every guide is built from current, checked sources and updated when those sources change. Prices and hours move, so each page shows when it was last checked. Some links are affiliate links. If you book through them I may earn a small commission, and it does not change what you pay.
Affiliate, not advertising
Some links earn a small commission when you book, at no extra cost to you. That never changes a ranking or a recommendation.
Updated, not abandoned
Prices, openings and closures change fast. Guides are re-checked and re-dated rather than left to mislead the next person.
