Who this covers
This policy covers Punta Cana Pointer (puntacanapointer.com). The site is an independent travel guide. It does not take bookings and it does not ask you to create an account.
Information we collect
If you write to the contact address, I receive whatever you send (your message and the email address you use). There is no public inbox yet (staging draft), so that address is not open. I do not buy mailing lists, and I do not ask for payment details.
Cookies and Google Analytics 4
This site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-XL7LL6BWWV) on every page. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (such as _ga) to count page views, browser type and approximate location, and to recognise a returning browser. The tag allows analytics storage and denies advertising storage, so it is not used to build an advertising profile. Clicks on Agoda and other affiliate links are sent as an affiliate_click event (the partner, the page type and the link host). You can block analytics cookies in your browser, and you can use a private window if you would rather not be measured.
The site may also store a cookie or similar storage that your browser needs to remember a simple preference. It is not used to build an advertising profile.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links. Hotel buttons go to Agoda with this site's partner id. Other programmes, including Booking.com and activity or transfer partners, are routed through Travelpayouts. When you follow those links, Agoda, Travelpayouts or the merchant may set their own cookies to record the referral. If you book, I may earn a commission. That does not change the price you pay. Your data rights
You can ask what personal information I hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask me to delete it. You can also object to Google Analytics 4 measurement, including by blocking its cookies. I will not sell your information. Requests go to the contact below. I will respond to the address you write from.
